Starting from what is already in the fridge is a better framing than searching recipes by name, since that is how people actually decide what to cook on a weeknight. With 586 recipes, the question is coverage: what happens when someone has only three odd ingredients? Showing "you are missing one item" matches, and letting people mark pantry staples like salt, oil and flour as always available, would cut a lot of empty results.

Fridge-first is the right angle — most recipe apps assume a full pantry. A "use it up before it expires" mode would be gold.
